Disadvantages of Being a Werewolf
Before deciding to become a werewolf, you should take into account the drawbacks that it will bring:
- Need to keep the secret
- Going into heat once per year
- Higher need for companionship
- Dogs and wolves are more attracted to you (especially when in heat)
- Need to eat large amounts of meat to keep up with higher metabolism
- Fleas
- Slightly higher aggression – can be controlled, however
- Shifting can be painful – but less painful the more often you do it
- Inability to sweat in anthro and wolf forms
- Human voice garbled in wolf form – however you are still able to speak (with effort)
- Need to eat soon after shifting into anthro form, to replenish spent energy reserves
- Loud and high-pitched sounds can be overpowering
- Balance in anthro form is a little challenging at first, due to digitigrade feet – remedied by use of your tail
- Your emotions are easier to read in anthro and wolf forms, because of your tail and swiveling ears
- Turning someone else into a werewolf through biting is a risky procedure that may result in the victim bleeding to death or becoming immune to a werewolf bite
- Bulky fingers in anthro and wolf form limit their use – not as much in anthro form
- Lack of opposable thumbs in wolf form
- Claws in anthro and wolf forms are sharp and may cause harm to unprotected skin
- Long tongue and sharp teeth in anthro and wolf forms increase chances that you'll bite your tongue
- Wet dog smell when damp in anthro and wolf forms
- Caffeine an chocolate can make you sick in anthro form, and are possibly fatal in wolf form.
These are just a few of the problems being a werewolf will present. If you are having any second thoughts about being turned into a werewolf, please do not go through with it until you have gotten over your doubts.
*Note, this is all fictional.

About Werewolves
They are simply humans with the ability to shift into a werewolf or wolf. To some, its the other way around. The human is actually their mask, or camouflage. It is what keeps them safe from man (who they believe are the real enemies), though not all werewolves believe in this.
Werewolves have two basic forms, the feral (wolf) form, which is the natural wolf to blend in better with nature and their ancestors, then there is the anthro form, which is the bipedal werewolf form.

Chapter 1: Keely
I stood in front of my school, gazing at it and sighing. I was back again for yet another year at Carrington High School. Sighing and moving my backpack from my right shoulder to my left, I began my trudge up the never-ending stairs.
There were cliques of people just hanging out on the steps; the skaters, the punks, the emos, the preps, the kids who just didnt care, and the normal ones. I just walked by them. I didnt belong to any of them, nor did I want to. I never belonged to any group. I was just Keely Finn, the girl who didnt fit in. And there was a reason I didnt fit in.

Werewolf at a Party (Werewolf tf)
It was Saturday night and it was a house party. A costume dress house party. Brandon's parents were out of town and he invited the football team to his house to party, dance, get drunk, and forget about school for once. Inviting the football team meant anyone who was anyone was invited. The rules were simple: dress up as if it were Halloween. Second, bring something from your parents' alcohol stash. It wasn't BYOB, but rather bring-booze-so-we-can-party sort of deal. I grabbed a bottle of cheap whiskey from my kitchen cabinet. It had been there since as long as I could remember and knew it wouldn't be missed.

I was thinking it might be fun to write a guide: "So You Want to be a Werewolf". I may or may not do it, depending on how lazy I am.

I've come across plenty of literature and I'll say, your idea of werewolves comes a little close to the "Harbingers of Change" Universe. the one thing it's missing is "War" form. I don't know if the site is still up but it's on the site: BecomeYourFursona.com but just in case it's gone, War form is basically where the classic werewolf descriptions came from, being 2X your original size and weight and becomes immune to any form of attack. it's activated by strong emotions like anger, or fear. if one werewolf's war form is activated, it brings a surge of adrenaline that causes their own war form to turn on. I actually managed to get a story from that universe copy-pasted into a word document before I lost access. if you want to see it, let me know. I enjoyed the story a lot and it followed the rules of the universe all the way. but it never explains how they became were-beasts in the first place (I say were-beasts because it involves more than just werewolves).
